Cemetery 03:48
Buried deep inside, The cemetery Something is alive In your rib cage The bones and empty eyes In the cemetery Something is alive Full of dust and age Hear the old crow wives The cemetery Speaking nothing but lies On an old stone cross Hear the lovers sigh Beneath the moonlight Watch the smoke rise Like a ghost in the dark Get up get up and look around Then dance then dance to spite the ground It’s not a complicated mess, It will all turn out for the best And when your ghost decides to leave And your body lies beneath trees There is no place that’s not your home it’s true one day we’ll settle down, we’ll take our place beneath the ground I hope the people all will say, let’s sing a song for yesterday

And the love you make for me, I cannot expect But I sit at your table with no mourning regrets Did you hear the symphony, practicing their songs The conductor’s worried about his lover, they’ll never get along She wants, she wants and she won’t talk about it But When she sees the blood in his knees, she has to doubt it If you think you can tell me, what is I’ve done It’s said it takes two, but our dance can be for one I am not a stranger, to your hidden landscape But you constantly are eyeing me as if I am strange I will never know who it is that took you heart But I’ll hang the thought on the wall like a work of art She wants she wants and she don’t talk about it She’s looking for her looking glass but she’s already found it Somewhere beneath her casual debris You’ll find all the thread you could possibly need Somewhere beneath the white of her teeth You can hear all you need to know about my unsewn seams Every celibate weekend, Every endless walk We ride our bikes to the sunset But we don’t ever talk

Your eyes are made of something from the lonely mountain, could you see the see my body lying beneath the dirt. An angry avalanche came from behind the lonely mountain, with the helpless thought of looking up your skirt. All the birds are circling around the lonely mountain, they’re wondering how big the sky must be. Every patient breeze is lifting up their wings so gently, their eyes are so surprised by what they see. They say it takes so much time to climb the lonely mountain, it’s hard enough to keep your mind off of the steep drops. It’s true that here your lonely blood can get much thinner, but it takes a lifetime before your lonely heart stops. For the first time, we make a still life You are brown as coffee, and I am clear as ice Then the next time, your hands as clean as silk We make a promise with our bodies, and we never hold them still

I know it's absurd buy you're made of nerves and when it's cold outside we'll have to hide I know you're unsure but it's what I've heard there's more to life than forks and knives No one wants to follow you No one wants to take what you say to the bank They’re saving up for the next cold winter They’re gonna need all the sweaters they can get I see the wind chill factory Making clouds for making rain and snow I wonder if the snowflakes will find us Underneath our sweaters and raincoats So the spring has arrived Everything feels so alive You are a flower my dear Even more beautiful than last year

Under a cloud of quite unorganized rain, There is unspeakable pain, there is a silver shining plane I often wish it was a bird that had those silver wings A perfect creature of the sky with orange beak and yellow eye Thresholds apart, connecting separating A window, a frame, the coast spain Troubles past the plain, with no word to it’s name It’s not the same You’ve gone your way The lines are drawn We’ll come out dry On the other side Put the virgin mary on the wall, stained glass, stained glass Put saint anthony on the wall, stained glass, stained glass Put jesus christ on the wall, stained glass, stained glass Put your own mother on the wall, stained glass, stained glass Can you see the color of the air, stained glass, stained glass Thresholds apart, connecting separating A window, a frame, the coast spain Troubles past the plain, without a word to it’s name
